Tier-on-Tier Shutters in Bedrooms: Photos and Ideas
Tier-on-tier shutters have two sets of panels, one above the other, that open separately. In a bedroom that faces the street, that means you can fold the top panels back for daylight and keep the bottom panels closed for privacy.
What you can see in these photos
Most of these bedrooms have bay windows, which is where tier-on-tier really earns its place: the top tier can be opened right across the bay while the lower tier stays shut. One photo shows a bedroom with two separate windows fitted to match.
Is tier-on-tier right for your bedroom?
- Choose it if your bedroom is at street level or overlooked, and you want daylight without being seen.
- Choose full height if you mostly keep the shutters fully open or fully closed and want the simplest option.
