Full Height Shutters on Living Room Bay Windows
Tier-on-tier is popular for front bays, but full height shutters are just as good a choice, and often better if the bay is not directly on the street or if you prefer one simple panel per section.
What you can see in these photos
Twelve living room bays with white full height plantation shutters. Several have a mid-rail set at the height of the window frame, so the shutters line up with the glass behind them. With the louvres open the room stays bright; with them closed the whole bay is covered.
Full height or tier-on-tier for a living room bay?
- Full height: simpler to use, fewer panels, a clean look from outside. Tilt the louvres for privacy.
- Tier-on-tier: more flexible, as you can open the top and keep the bottom shut.
We bring samples of both to your free home visit so you can see them in your own window. More on our full height shutters page.
