Shutters for Loft Rooms and Dormer Windows
Loft conversions often have dormer windows set deep into the roof, which can make curtains awkward and blinds hard to reach. Shutters fitted inside the dormer keep things neat.
What you can see in these photos
Three loft rooms with white full height shutters, and two dormer windows with shutters fitted inside the recess.
What to check in a loft
- Ceiling slopes: the panels must have space to open without hitting a sloping ceiling.
- Recess depth: dormers often have deep recesses, which suit shutters well.
- Roof windows: sloping roof windows (like Velux windows) usually need a blind rather than a shutter. See our Velux blinds page.
We check all of this when we measure your loft.
